Planned Competitions/Conferences for 2020-2021 LBA year
Wharton KWAHS Investment Competition
Your team of 4-7 students will develop and then implement an investment strategy using the sectors, industries and companies from the competition’s approved stock list. Your team will discuss and create a unique team strategy that serves as your plan of attack for building your client’s wealth. You will then conduct a thorough analysis of potential investments, choose those that align with your strategy and objectives, and detail a proposal that sets up your potential client for long-term investment success. You will be able to put your investment strategy into action by using the OTIS online trading platform (you will be given access in the days leading up to the start of trading). Remember: long-term strategies do not call for heavy buying and selling of stocks and active trading. Previous knowledge of trading and investing is not required to compete in the KWHS Investment Competition. However, we recommend that teams spend time and energy using our resources to learn, ideally led by an advisor who can help teach and motivate you.
This is a high commitment competition that will take place from the beginning to the end of first semester. (and possibly to the end of second semester if you make it)
